These are ideally used when drilling larger holes in steel and alloy when Morse Taper drills are not available or your machinery does not

have a Morse Taper Spindle.

  

PLEASE NOTE! 

When using reduced shank drills or any type of drill for that matter it is normal practice to open up hole step my step , for example if wanting to drill a 25mm Hole is steel plate I would use a 6mm drill open up with 10mm then 16mm and then 25mm - reduce drill speed as you get larger, and always clamp vice or metal plate securely.
