Our Spiral fluted hand reamers are quality finishing tools used to size and smooth drilled or bored holes

 

Reaming interrupted cuts – The spiral flutes provide a shearing action, making them better for reaming through holes that have cross-holes, keyways, or interruptions.
Smoother finish – The spiral cutting action reduces chatter and produces a better surface finish compared to straight-fluted hand reamers.
Improved chip evacuation – Spiral flutes help lift chips out of the hole, making them more suitable for deeper holes or where chip clogging could be an issue.
Tougher materials – They cut more smoothly in harder or more ductile materials (like stainless steels or alloys), where a straight flute might grab.
Hand use – Like straight-flute hand reamers, they are designed to be used with a tap wrench or similar handle, with a long taper lead for easier starting and guidance
