INSERT GRADE AND BLADE INFORMATION

What is TiAlN (Black) – Titanium Aluminium Nitride?

This coating has a greater hardness than TiN. In fact upto 80RC. A very thin film of AL203 (Aluminium Oxide) is formed on the surface of the TiAlN which greatly increases the service life of the tool, withstanding higher temperatures especially when machining Cast Iron and tough steels. TiAlN (TiAIN) is a versatile, tough coating widely used to prolong tool life and withstand heat-intensive cutting and machining operations. Whether you're doing high-speed CNC milling, drip drilling through stainless steel, or running dry tooling, TiAlN-enhanced tools offer reliable performance and longevity

The insert is held securely to a specially made steel blade which is double ended.
